Hey gang,

Hope everyone has enjoyed their Labor Day weekend. There was beautiful weather all around the country the past few days, it was amazing.

Whats most important in your life? Does it come before God? Many things in life keep the average person busy beyond belief. Some people are so caught up in worrying about tomorrow that it causes them to stumble in their walk with Christ.

Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Matthew 6:31-33

That shouldnt keep God from being first in your life. Together we all make up the body of christ and should keep God at the top of our priorities…through the tough times or the good. A lot of times seek God only when things are bad. Also some people only praise him when things are good. We need to consistently do these things for God. Meaning also praise him when times are tough. I would like to quote Jon Foreman when he Tweeted ( on Thanksgiving) ” Why is it just one day out of the year were reminded to give thanks to God, It should be everyday.” Personally, I need to work harder at putting God first in my life. I encourage you to try putting God first, when you wake up, when you have a bad day.

Alright I kinda went all over the place with this one, but I hope one of you can find some inspiration in it!

Hope everyone has a great week!

  4. Awesome job Justin:o)

Our Pastor just spoke about putting God first and following Jesus without limitations on Sunday morning.
It’s definitely something i need to work on as well.

  5. My Labor Day weekend was spent on the road. My friend (the one with me at Hills Alive) and I drove to KS and SD (again!) for Rock the Light and Lifelight. We had a blast and actually got sleep on this trip. 🙂

Ah Justin, organizing my priorities…this is something I’ve struggled with all my life. So many tempting things in this world to pursue rather than God. Which is REALLY sad, considering, in the grand scheme of things, He is the ONLY thing we should WANT to pursue! Thanks for this reminder!!!
