Back on the road today for the first time in what feels like a long time. Granted, it’s only a four day excursion, but it’s just nice to get in bus after a couple weeks off and go trekking through various states. Big props to Mr. Justin Sams for securing the Halo 3 bonus maps disc; between that and COD: Modern Warfare 2, this trip has put us through a lot of ammunition. Meanwhile, Todd downloaded an emulator for his computer that lets him play old Super Nintendo games, so he has literally spent more time playing Super Mario World than everything else combined on this trip so far. I’m sure he will post all the details in his next blog.

Florida drinking water is the worst. That’s all there is to it.

It is currently pouring down rain here in Punta Gorda, FL. I thought hurricane season was over? Anyway, you know, a lot of great bands have come out of Florida. Dashboard Confessional, Underoath, Copeland, Anberlin, Further Seems Forever, Will Smith (…he had that “Miami song”, right?), rapper Flo Rida (actually not sure on this one, but you would assume he is named after his state of residence). I wonder why you never hear of rock bands that originated in Hawaii? You would think there would be some talent in those islands. But I guess it would get really old just touring around one state, and it would be really expensive to fly all your gear to the mainland USA to play shows…so there probably are some great bands in Hawaii, but they just never get off the ground! They will be forever stuck playing luaus and pig-roasting celebrations.

Wow, it is seriously pouring down rain here.

I know this has been mentioned a couple times, but if you are gonna be around Charlotte NC for Christmas-time, you should really come out to our show at Tremont Music Hall on Sunday December 20th. More details at our Myspace/Facebook pages.

I’m proud to say I have almost all of my Christmas shopping done. I did most of it online – I find this the best way to shop around efficiently and get the best deal, though it is fun to go out Christmas shopping too.

Please forgive the lack of substance in this blog, I guess I’m not feeling super-motivated to write real stuff. Oh well! Good timing anyway, the bus is actually starting to leak from the torrential downpour. I’m outta here. – Josiah

Did you guys get the Platinum edition COD – with the night vision goggles? My husband did.

He played a lot over the last few days – wonder if you guys have shot eachother? :o)

  1. Florida has storms every afternoon. We went to Disney World two years in a row when I was younger and we had to go inside for about an hour or so every day. It’s insane!

Super Mario World is fun! Our NES is too unpredictable to really play any games on it unfortunately, but SNES still works really well so we can play Top Gear all day : )

I am very jealous of everyone down in that area this month. VA Beach is still waiting for you guys! : )

  2. Kudos for putting “Naive Orleans” on here… definitely one of my favorites.

Oh, rain… that makes me smile a bit, as we just got our first snow of the season here in Minnesota/Wisconsin… went out running this morning and it was just a tad bit icy. 😉
